The BIG List Of Furniture Stores in Japan (online, with shipping!)

Table of Contents

For those of you looking for a big list of online furniture stores in Japan, here it is! Japanese furniture stores sometimes don’t have online storefronts (and sometimes aren’t even on Google Maps!).

But thankfully there are plenty of shops to choose from with delivery in Japan. You just need to know where to look! And honestly speaking, sometimes placing online orders is easier than in-person transactions for non-native Japanese speakers.

We’ll keep updating this list with online interior shopping sources, so check back whenever you like!

Tips for Online Furniture Shopping

  • Consider your plan for when the furniture is no longer needed (especially for short-term residents). Large items may require scheduling and incur fees if you plan to put them out for trash pick-up.
  • Remember Japanese environment when selecting materials. Vinyl faux-leather isn’t very comfortable in high heat and humidity. Rattan can be damaged by insects. Mold will sometimes grow on the surface of laminated wood-look surfaces. Colored upholstery may fade in direct sunlight.
  • Some deliveries will call you in advance to schedule a receiving time. Plan accordingly if you need assistance with coordination in Japanese.
